Note:
Scroll down past the ads.  One of our friends and his son in Bolivia lost their life on a similar road to this.

North Yungas Road is hands-down the most dangerous in the world for motorists. This one clearly endangers your life. It runs in the Bolivian Andes, 70 km from La Paz to Coroico, and plunges down almost 3,600 meters in an orgy of extremely narrow hairpin curves and 800-meter abyss near-misses. A fatal accident happens there every couple of weeks, 100-200 people perish there every year. In 1995 the Inter-American Development Bank named the La Paz-to-Coroico route “the world’s most dangerous road.”

Russian 100 years ago

A Russian photographer managed to make color photos of Russia 100 years ago in 1900-1910. It’s amazing to see the life back there in full color (likely painted photos). He had a special task to travel across all the Russian Empire (that’s how Russia was called in the times before Communism) and make thousands of such photos for a Royal Depositary. So he made literally thousands of color photos of Russia 100 years ago. I find it hard to believe, but you can have a look for yourself and see what you think. I remember when color photos started to come out in the early 60's and I'm not a hundred yet... just feel like it.
